The base has a sphere magnet that allows you (or us!) to magnetize the base of your miniature as further protection from being damaged when jostled or dropped while in the case. The base easily fits miniatures with bases up to 1.5 inches in diameter while the included acrylic box is 2.5 inches tall with room for most miniatures. However, you can easily move the display pieces to a larger box as needed.
